My sinlessness protects me from all harm.
1. My sinlessness ensures me perfect peace, eternal safety, everlasting love, freedom forever from all thought of loss; complete deliverance from suffering. ²And only happiness can be my state, for only happiness is given me. ³What must I do to know all this is mine? ⁴I must accept Atonement for myself, and nothing more. ⁵God has already done all things that need be done. ⁶And I must learn I need do nothing of myself, for I need but accept my Self, my sinlessness, created for me, now already mine, to feel God’s Love protecting me from harm, to understand my Father loves His Son; to know I am the Son my Father loves.
2. You Who created me in sinlessness are not mistaken about what I am. ²I was mistaken when I thought I sinned, but I accept Atonement for myself. ³Father, my dream is ended now. ⁴Amen.
Accepting the Atonement
I am sinless because I was created sinless. Nothing can change this fact. Because I am sinless, I cannot suffer in any way. I seem to be lost in a dream world in which I suffer but the way out is available to me. In order to know myself as sinless and thus to be happy, I only need to accept the Atonement for myself. Accepting the Atonement means that I forgive myself. This is God’s plan for our salvation. It is beautifully simple and guaranteed to work.
Accepting Sinlessness
This is so perfect! I need do nothing to make myself sinless. The only thing I need to do is to accept my sinlessness as fact. Because we believe in the world we made, it might, at first, appear difficult to make this shift. I make it easier by changing my mind one thought at a time and then one belief at a time. In this way, I am gently but consistently instructing the mind to accept my sinlessness. Would God create sin? No? Then you cannot be sinful. Anything that suggests otherwise is an illusion.
The Kingdom of Heaven Is You
I am reminded of this from the Text. ⁴The Kingdom of Heaven is you. ⁵What else but you did the Creator create, and what else but you is His Kingdom? (ACIM, T-4.III.1:4-5) This is what we are, the Kingdom of Heaven. We can live from that knowledge even while we are experiencing the world. It is being in the world but not of the world. To clarify, all that we need to do is to notice our mistaken ideas and choose to release them. It is only those ideas that obscure the truth from our awareness.
